MONROE, N.C. – The Barton women's golf team wrapped up competition at the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate with the third and final round on Wednesday at the Stonebridge Golf Club.
Barton tied for 15th overall with a 1,002 (+138) on the par-72, 6,011-yard course while Wingate, the host institution, captured team honors with an 880 (+16) over 54 holes of play.
Barton was led by freshman
Terra Schmitt (Wake Forest, N.C.), who tied for 35th overall with a 230 (+14). Wingate's Hailey McLaughlin (Markham, Ontario, CANADA) was the individual champion after firing a two-under 214 over three rounds of competition.
Barton next hosts the Bulldog Intercollegiate at the Wilson Country Club in Wilson, N.C., on Monday, March 18, and Tuesday, March 19.
