PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – The Barton men's golf team, ranked No. 24 in NCAA Division II, won the 2024 Spring Bulldog Clash which concluded with the third and final round on Tuesday at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. Barton also served as the host institution.
Barton shot a one-under 839 on the par-70, 6,526-yard and was two shots clear of Newberry and No. 19 Columbus State. The Bulldogs also won the tournament for the second straight year and was the lone squad to finish under par.
Barton was led by senior
Harrison Wierse (Wilmington, N.C.), who tied for fifth overall with a three-under 207 over 54 holes. Shorter's Blake Henriques (Canton, Ga.) was the individual medalist thanks to a 10-under 200 performance.
Barton next competes in the Bearcat Clash on Monday, March 4, and Tuesday, March 5, at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, S.C.
