KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Barton men's and women's swimming teams finished second and third, respectively, at the 2024 Conference Carolinas Championships which concluded Saturday at the Kingsport Aquatic Center.
The Bulldogs' men's team finished with 648 points while Emmanuel won its fourth straight league title with 839 points. Meanwhile, the Barton women's squad totaled 421 points for the competition and UNC Pembroke (776 points) captured its first-ever conference crown.

Natan Alexandre (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) was the second individual champion for the Bulldogs this year with his first-place finish in the men's 200-yard breaststroke (2:04.55). Sophomore
Dominic Edl (Bluffton, S.C.) also earned all-league accolades in the men's 200-yard breaststroke after taking third overall with a time of 2:11.52 for the Bulldogs.
The Barton men's 400-yard freestyle relay team garnered all-conference laurels after taking third with a time of 3:04.97. The quartet included junior

Emme Ham (Plantation, Fla.) had the highest finish on the women's side for the Bulldogs: fourth in the women's 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.07).
The 2024 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships take place Tuesday, March 12, through Saturday, March 16, at the SPIRE Institute Aquatics Center in Geneva, Ohio.
