KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Barton men's swimming team stands in second place after Thursday's races at the 2024 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships at the Kingsport Aquatic Center.
The Bulldogs totaled 224 points while Emmanuel (305 points) leads the men's competition. On the women's side, Barton (151) is in fourth place while the Lions lead as well with 291 points.
Barton senior
Megan Schueller (La Plata, Md.) earned all-league honors in the women's 50-yard freestyle after finishing second in 23.93 seconds.
Schueller was also part of the Bulldogs' third-place women's 200-yard freestyle relay squad (1:38.72). Joining Schueller on the squad was senior
Alexis Lakey (Silver Spring, Md.) and sophomores
Ava Commer (Anthem, Ariz.) and
Cali Younker (Blaine, Tenn.).
The Barton men's 200-yard freestyle relay – consisting of sophomore
Ethan Robinson (Dacula, Ga.), junior
Owen Rasinske (Hillsborough, N.C.), senior
Ethan Maddrey (Sims, N.C.) and freshman
Ryan Mcanallen (Saint Augustine, Fla.) – also earned all-conference accolades after taking second with a time of 1:23.48.
