SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Barton women's golf team opened the semester at the 2024 Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate which concluded Tuesday with the third and final round at The Club at South Hampton. Lincoln Memorial University served as the host institution.
Barton placed 17th overall with a 1,026 (+126) on the par-72, 5,918-yard course while Lander won the 54-hole tournament with an 892 (+28).
The Bulldogs were led by freshman
Terra Schmitt (Wake Forest, N.C.) and senior
Elyse Godding (Bradford, Pa.), who both tied for 70th overall with a 254 (+38). Wingate's Hailey McLaughlin (Markham, Ontario, CANADA) was the individual medalist after firing a one-under 215.
Barton next hosts the Battle at Hilton Head on Monday, February 19, and Tuesday, February 20, in Hilton Head, S.C., at the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes.
