PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Barton men's and women's bowling teams competed this past weekend at the Spring Hill College Classic at the Strikerz Entertainment Center.
The Bulldogs' men's squad took sixth overall on day one with 4,829 points and eighth on day two Sunday (4,470 points). Florida State (Saturday) and Emmanuel (Sunday) took home team honors.
Barton sophomore
Braeden Barnes (Elm City, N.C.) led the way for the Bulldogs with a 205.0 average including a school-record game of 264. Barnes finished tenth out of 78 total bowlers.
On the women's side, the Bulldogs finished eighth (4,470 points) and fourth (3,482) on both days, respectively, while Emmanuel took first place in both Saturday and Sunday's competition. The Bulldogs were led by freshman
Amber Ferrara (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) with a 155.0 average.
Barton will next compete in the SCAD Shootout on Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, at Bowlero Savannah in Savannah, Ga.
