Barton indoor track and field competes at the Camel City Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed this Friday and Saturday at the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track.

On the men's side for the Bulldogs, senior Chase Eaton (Wilson, N.C.) took seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (8.44) while freshman Jaidan Lee (Charlotte, N.C.) also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.07 seconds.

In the women's competition, Barton sophomores Aniya Heckstall (Scotland Neck, N.C.) and Keiarra Tutt (Pamlico, N.C.) both finished in the top ten in the 200-meter dash:  Heckstall in seventh (26.24) and Tutt in 10th (26.30). 

In addition, Tutt established a new school record in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.78 seconds which was good enough for first place in the qualifying round.

The Barton indoor track and field teams next compete at the Richard Drake Invitational on Sunday, February 4, at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex in Virginia Beach, Va.
