BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Barton women's golf team finished eighth overall at the King University Invitational which concluded Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bristol.
The Bulldogs totaled a 662 (+94) over the par-71, 5,852-yard course while Converse took home top team honors with a 621 (+53), two shots ahead of North Greenville.
Barton was led by freshman
Terra Schmitt (Wake Forest, N.C.), who tied for seventh overall with a 12-over 154 while senior
Grace Greene (Apex, N.C.) carded a 163 (+21) to tie for 30th after two rounds of play. Tusculum's Reagan Padilla (Gallatin, Tenn.) was the top individual for the tournament. Padilla fired a six-over 148 over 36 holes of play.
Barton will next compete in the Patsy Rendleman Invitational on Monday, October 2, and Tuesday, October 3, at the Country Club of Salisbury in Salisbury, N.C.
