GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton College's
Luis Weber has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced earlier today.
Weber, a senior forward from Stuttgart, GERMANY, scored two goals in the second half in the Bulldogs' 3-0 victory over Converse this past Saturday evening at home in the league opener.
The Valkyries are the defending conference regular season and tournament champions and earned a berth to the NCAA Division II Playoffs in 2022.
Belmont Abbey's Will Whitman was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Barton (1-2-1, 1-0) returns to the pitch on Wednesday to take on Shaw (3-1-1) in Durham, N.C., at Durham County Memorial Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m.
