GREENVILLE, S.C. – Four members of the Barton College Men's Lacrosse Team earned 2023 All-Conference Carolinas honors, league officials announced earlier today.
Graduate student and attacker
Mark Crawford (Chesapeake Beach, Md.) and senior defender
Ryan Santos (Raleigh, N.C.) were named the all-league first team while senior attacker
Mason Chaney (Dunkirk, Md.) and junior midfielder
Logan Wheeler (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) garnered all-conference second-team accolades.
Crawford ranks second on the team this year in goals scored (29), assists (24) and total points (53) and earned all-conference honors for the third straight season. Crawford is also the team's all-time leader in assists (101) and total points (208).
Santos, a two-time All-Conference Carolinas performer (2022 and 2023), leads the team in caused turnovers (23) to go along with 44 ground balls this season.
Chaney ranks first on the team in goals scored (45) and total points (66) this spring and earned all-league honors for the third time in his collegiate career. Chaney ranks first in school history with 154 goals and second in total points (206). Meanwhile, Wheeler has 17 goals, a team-high 27 assists and 44 total points so far in 2023.
Barton (9-7), the fourth seed in the 2023 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Championship, will take on top-seeded Belmont Abbey (10-3) in the semifinals on Thursday beginning at 4:00 p.m., in Mount Olive, N.C.
