SALISBURY, N.C. – The Barton women's golf team finished up competition Tuesday at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational which concluded at the Country Club of Salisbury. Catawba College served as the host institution.
Barton carded a 1,048 (+196) on the par-71, 5,935-yard course while Anderson, ranked No. 7 in NCAA Division II, won the tournament with an 899 (+47), 10 shots clear of runner-up, Lenoir-Rhyne.
The Bulldogs were led by freshman
Terra Schmitt (Wake Forest, N.C.), who took 29th overall with a 239 (+26) over three rounds. Barton senior
Grace Greene (Apex, N.C.) tied for 45th overall after totaling a 258 (+45) while USC Beaufort's Ashleigh Mead (McDonough, Ga.) took home individual honors thanks to a five-over 218 performance.
Barton wraps up the fall season with a trip to Abingdon, Va., to compete in the Buzz-Off Invitational on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29, at the Glenrochie Country Club.
