Barton’s Bryson Boyette earns 2022 Division II All-America men’s golf honors

NORMAN, Okla. – Barton College's Bryson Boyette has been named to the 2022 NCAA Division II PING All-America Men's Golf Second Team.  The All-America squad is selected by the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America).

Boyette, a senior from Wilson, N.C., is a four-time All-Southeast Region honoree (2019-22) and a 2020 honorable mention All-American.

This season, Boyette was the individual medalist in three tournaments – the Spring Bulldog Clash (February 28-March 1) in Pawleys Island, S.C., the Bearcat Classic (March 7-8) in Greenwood, S.C., and the Barton Intercollegiate (March 14-15) – and led Barton to three team victories.

Barton, which finished second at the 2022 Conference Carolinas Championship, won the Bearcat Classic, the Barton Intercollegiate and the Trojan (March 28-29) in Goldsboro, N.C.  Boyette also led the Bulldogs to a spot in the NCAA D-II South/Southeast Super Regional Championship in May in Valdosta, Ga., where Barton took ninth overall.

Boyette was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Golfer of the Year in 2021-22 for the second time in his career and earned first-team all-league honors for the fourth time as a Bulldog.  In addition, Boyette was the 2017-18 league's men's golf freshman of the year and was named Barton's 2021-22 Male Athlete of the Year in May.
