GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Barton College men's golf team stands in ninth place after the first day and two rounds Monday of the Ironwood Collegiate Classic at the Ironwood Country Club.
The Bulldogs shot a 599 (+23) on the par-72, 7,120-yard course after 36 holes of play while East Carolina University, the school, leads with a two-over 578.
Barton is led by junior
Harrison Wierse (Wilmington, N.C.), who is tied for 15th overall with a 146 (+2) while N.C. State's Brandon Einstein (Clemmons, N.C.) is the top individual with one round after firing a six-under 138.
The third and final round takes place on Tuesday.
