SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Barton women's golf team finished fifth overall at the 2021 Conference Carolinas Championship which concluded Tuesday with the third and final round at the Carolina Country Club.
The Bulldogs shot a 1,005 (+141) on the par-72, 5,846-yard course while Belmont Abbey captured the league championship with a 941 (+77) after 54 holes of play. The Crusaders won their fourth conference title in program history and first since the 2011 campaign.
Mount Olive's Emma Leclercq was the individual medalist after finishing with an eight-over 224. Barton was led by senior
Clare McMahon (Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA). McMahon tied for 11th overall with a 243 (+27) while Barton senior
Nikki Norlin (Innisfail, Alberta, CANADA) carded a 248 (+32), good for 17th place after three rounds.
The tournament concludes the Spring 2021 season for the Bulldogs.
