HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's golf team is tied for second place after the opening round Monday of the Coker Spring Invitational which is taking place at the Hartsville Country Club.
The Bulldogs shot a 335 (+47) on the par-72, 5,800-yard course while Mount Olive leads after 18 holes of play with a 316 (+28).
Barton is led by sophomore
Grace Greene (Apex, N.C.), who is tied for seventh overall with an eight-over 80. Meanwhile, senior
Nikki Norlin (Innisfail, Alberta, CANADA) is also in the top 10 after the opening round. Norlin is tied for 10th overall with an 82 (+10) while Mount Olive's Johanna Andersson and Grace Olmstead and Coker's Katie Smith are all tied at the top of the leaderboard at five-over 77.
The second and final round takes place on Tuesday.
