HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Barton women's golf team finished 13th overall at the Battle at Hilton Head which wrapped up Tuesday at the Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Golf Course.
The Bulldogs carded a 690 (+114) on the par-72, 5,934-yard course while Carson-Newman won by one stroke over Lenoir-Rhyne with a 629 (+53) after two rounds of play.
Barton was led by senior
Clare McMahon (Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA), who tied for 27th overall with a 164 (+20) while senior
Nikki Norlin (Innisfail, Alberta, CANADA) finished one stroke behind at 165 (+21) after 36 holes of play. Belmont Abbey's Jenna Nagy won the tournament with a six-over 150.
The Barton women's golf team returns to the links on Monday, March 8, and Tuesday, March 9, to compete in the Lady Cougar Invitational at the Country Club of Columbus in Columbus, Ga.
