SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Barton women's golf team finished tied for ninth overall at the 2021 LMU Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate which concluded Tuesday at The Club at South Hampton.
The Bulldogs totaled 655 (+79) on the par-72, 5,958-yard course while Wingate won the two-round tournament with a 598 (+22).
Barton was once again led by senior
Nikki Norlin (Innisfail, Alberta, CANADA). Norlin took ninth overall with a 153 (+9) while senior
Clare McMahon (Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA) placed 28th overall after carding a 161 (+17) for the Bulldogs. Mount Olive's Emma Leclerq and Johanna Andersson tied for first overall with a two-over 146 and the Trojans, as a team, earned runner-up honors with a 610 (+34).
Barton returns to play on Monday, February 22, and Tuesday, February 23, to compete at the Battle at Hilton Head in Hilton Head, S.C., at the Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Golf Course.
