Box Score WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (6-2, 3-0) swept North Greenville (4-7, 2-4), 3-0, Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs were playing just their second home contest of the year. Barton defeated North Greenville by scores of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-16.
Barton was led by senior right side hitter Angelos Mandilaris (Chalkida, GREECE) with 17 kills while sophomore outside hitter Adrian Iglesias (Guaynabo, PUERTO RICO) added 14 kills as the Bulldogs won their second straight match and remained unbeaten in league play.
Barton hit .440 for the match while senior setter Oscar Fiorentino (Bayamon, PUERTO RICO) added 40 assists and seven digs in the victory. Fiorentino leads the league in assists per set (9.96). North Greenville's Brandon Baker (South Windsor, Conn.) finished with 10 kills but the Crusaders suffered their fifth straight setback.
Barton has a quick turnaround and hosts Limestone in league action Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., while North Greenville hosts Belmont Abbey Tuesday beginning at 7:00 p.m.
