CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Barton women's cross country team took 32nd out of 39 schools at the 2019 Queen City Invite which took place Friday evening at the McAlpine Creek Park.
James Madison won the race with 41 points fueled three runners in the top eight while Augusta's Micah Weathers (Statham, Ga.) won the 5K race with a time of 18:02.
Barton was led by freshman Isabel Reed (Wilson, N.C.) for the second straight week. Reed finished 134th overall with a time of 20:58 while sophomore Morgan Lane (Elm City, N.C.) ran a 21:51, good for 166th overall for the Bulldogs.
Barton returns to Charlotte, N.C., on Friday, October 11, to run in the Royals Challenge – also at McAlpine Creek Park – beginning at 4:30 p.m.
