HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's cross country team competed with four runners Saturday morning at the 12th annual Sand Shark Invitational at Sgt. Jasper Park.
The Bulldogs were led once again by freshman Hailey Russell (Jacksonville, N.C.). Russell took 96th overall with a time of 20:44 while junior Meghan Araldi (Albany, N.Y.) ran the 5K course in 21:15 and placed 117th for Barton.
SCAD Atlanta was the top overall team and had the individual winner in Emily Kearney, who crossed the finish line in 17:30.
The Barton Women's Cross Country Team returns to the course on Saturday, November 3, when the Bulldogs compete in the 2018 Conference Carolinas Championship at the University of Mount Olive.
