WILSON, N.C. – The Bulldogs' Nikki Norlin shot a two-over 74 to lead after round one Monday of the Barton Women's Golf Intercollegiate at Wilson Country Club.
The score for Norlin, a junior from Innisfail, Alberta, CANADA, was a career-low and three shots clear of the second-place competitor: Mount Olive's Linn Andersson. In addition, junior Clare McMahon (Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA) is tied for fifth for the Bulldogs with an 80 (+8).
Mount Olive leads as a team with a 317 (+29) on the par-72, 5,903-yard course, three shots better than Barton.
The second and final round takes place on Tuesday.
