Men's volleyball completes weekend road trip with 3-0 win over Emmanuel (Ga.)

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Barton men's volleyball team continued to roll, winning the second game of its weekend road trip 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-17) over Emmanuel College inside Shaw Athletic Center.

The Bulldogs (14-4, 12-2) have now won its last 15 sets of action and handed Emmanuel (5-15, 3-9) its fourth straight Conference Carolinas loss and second straight on its home floor.

Barton hit .530 as a unit, its second highest hitting percentage of the season, and recorded eight service aces and eight total blocks at the net, holding the Lions to a .086 hitting mark.

Senior setter Federico Pagliara directed the BC offense with 36 assists, while sophomore Aleksa Brkovic led all players with 11 kills and four service aces.

Freshman Angelos Mandilaris followed with 10 kills of his own, as sophomore Vasilis Mandilaris and Nick Leary had eight and seven kills, respectively. Senior libero Jonathan Novoa-Miralles led the defense with seven digs.

BC returns to the court on Friday, March 24 in a non-conference match against George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
