CLEMSON, S.C. – The Barton College women's tennis team improved to 4-1 in Conference Carolinas play on Friday with a 9-0 sweep of Southern Wesleyan University at Nettles Park.
The Lady Bulldogs, now 5-7 overall, won both of the doubles matches played, with Smiljana Kljajic and Alicia Lasry taking an 8-3 win at No. 1, and Dana Kelly and Meredith Pruden claiming an 8-1 victory in the No. 2 slot.
Barton then swept all five of the singles matches contested in straight sets, with Klajic, Lasry, Pruden, Kelly and Casey Utley all earning victories against the Warriors (1-10, 1-5).
BC picked up points at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles by default.
The Lady Bulldogs win take on North Greenville University on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Tigerville, S.C.
