NORTH VERSAILLES. Pa. – The Barton men's and women's bowling wrapped up competition this past weekend at New Great Valley Lanes.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs competed in the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic. The men's squad took third overall with a score of 4,989 points while the women's squad placed 11
th overall (2,919 points).
Erie Community College (5,113 points) and Shawnee State (4,927 points) took home team honors respectively.
Barton was led by junior
Braeden Barnes (Elm City, N.C.), who finished third overall with a 212.67 tournament average. On the women's side, junior
Addison Williams (Durham, N.C.) led the way with a 28th-place finish (158.0 average.).
On Sunday, Barton competed in the Western Pennsylvania Baker Shootout with the men's and women's teams finishing in eighth (4,896 points) and 11th place (2,819 points), respectively. Rochester Tech (5,452) and St. Vincent (5,155) were the top men's and women's squads, respectively.
The Barton men's team next competes in the NAIA Southeast Open on Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, at Bowlero Savannah in Savannah, Ga.
The Bulldogs' women's squad will compete in the James Brown Invitational from Friday, February 13, through Sunday, February 15, at AMF Towson Lanes in Towson, Md.
