WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed Saturday afternoon at the Mondo College Invitational at the JDL Fast Track.
On the women's side, the Bulldogs were led by freshman
Juliana Duke (McLeansville, N.C.) with a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.85 seconds.
In the men's competition, Barton also had a runner-up finish courtesy of sophomore
Brandon Waller (Cabot, Ark.) in the men's 800-meter dash (a school-record 1:53.79).
Another top-10 finish for the Bulldogs came from freshman
Ja'Qunn Cannon (Raleigh, N.C.): seventh in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 50.65 seconds.
Barton returns to the JDL Fast Track next Sunday, January 25, when the Bulldogs compete in the JDL Banked is Better Invitational.
