VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Barton men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed Friday at Virginia Wesleyan University's 2026 Marlin Invitational at the Virgina Beach Sports Center.
Barton sophomore
Brandon Waller (Cabot, Ark.) won the men's 800-run in a time of 1:57.00 while graduate student
Jacob Oliver (Winchester, Va.) and sophomore
Trey Lamm (Lucama, N.C.) took fifth-place spots in the men's mile (4:44.03) and men's 500-meter run (15:49.35), respectively.
On the women's side, Barton was led by a runner-up finish in the sophomore
Iyana Coats (Knightdale, N.C.) in the long jump (15'9").
The Bulldogs also had a pair of third-place finishes: sophomore
Angel Agyeman (Greensboro, N.C.) in the women's 60-meter dash (7.76) and freshman
Lena Warren (Clayton, N.C.) in the women's one-mile run (5:45.99).
The Barton indoor track and field teams next compete in the Vince Brown Invitational on Sunday, February 8, at the Freeman Center in Newport News, Va.
