GREENSBORO, N.C. – Barton College's
Chase Waddell has been named to the 2025 ABCA/Rawling NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Baseball Second Team. ABCA is the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Waddell, a senior catcher from Lucama, N.C., earned his second all-region team accolade this spring: the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) two weeks ago.
Waddell finished the year with a .335 batting average in addition to five home runs and ranked second on the squad in runs batted in (51). Waddell, who was named to the 2025 All-Conference Carolinas Second Team as well, scored 46 runs while totaling 11 doubles and a .467 slugging average.
Waddell also finished his collegiate career ranked in the top ten on a pair of program's lists: fifth in walks (85) and eighth in runs batted in (138).
Waddell also led the Bulldogs to a 31-22 record in 2025 including a 19-11 mark in league play.
