PUEBLO, Colo. – Barton College's
Aniya Heckstall finished seventh overall in the women's 100-meter dash finals to earn All-American honors Saturday afternoon at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at CSU Pueblo's ThunderBowl.
Heckstall, a junior from Scotland Neck, N.C., tied her own school-record with an 11.41-second performance and garnered First-Team All-American accolades in the event while Lenoir-Rhyne's Alexis Brown (Mapleton, Ga.) established a new NCAA Division II mark after taking first place in 10.93 seconds.
Heckstall became the first NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field All-American in program history and the first Barton athlete – male or female – to earn All-American accolades since
Larry Russell (men's long jump) in 2018.
