Aniya Heckstall has been named the Chick-fil-A Student-Athlete of the Week.
Aniya, a junior from Scotland Neck, N.C., was named the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track and Field Championships Women's Athlete Meet MVP this past weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Aniya won the women's 200-meter dash and finished second in the women's 100-meter dash and 400-meter relay, all school records and national provisional qualifying times.
Aniya wins the weekly honor for the fourth time this year. The NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place from Thursday, May 22, through Saturday, May 24, at the ThunderBowl on the campus of CSU Pueblo in Pueblo, Colo.
