GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton College's
Lauren Walker and
Lauren Mingo both were named to the 2024-25 All-Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Second Team, league officials announced earlier today.
Walker, a graduate student guard from Charlotte, N.C., earned all-league honors for a record fifth time in her collegiate career.
Walker ranked second on the team in scoring this year with 14.4 points per game while leading the squad in three-pointers made (64) and free throw percentage (.821). Walker leaves Barton as the all-time leader in three-pointers made (285) and ranks fifth on the Bulldogs' all-time scoring list with 1,867 points.
Mingo, a junior guard from Clinton, Md., had an outstanding all-around season for Barton, ranking first on the team in scoring (15.4 ppg), rebounding (7.1 rpg), assists (108), steals (75) and blocked shots (19). Mingo also became the 20th player to reach the 1,000-point mark in the NCAA Division II era this year.
Barton finished the season with a 14-16 record including a 9-11 mark in Conference Carolinas play under first-year mentor
