Barton’s Jaidan Lee earns weekly men’s outdoor track athlete honors for the second time this year

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton College's Jaidan Lee has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, league officials announced earlier this week.

Lee, a freshman from Charlotte, N.C., wins the weekly honor for the second time this year.  This past weekend, Lee won the men's 100-meter dash in a school-record 10.37 seconds at The Trojan Relays in Mount Olive, N.C.

The time was also an NCAA Division II provisional mark while Lee anchored the Bulldogs' men's 400-meter relay squad (41.68) which took second place at the relays as well.

Lee has won the men's 100-meter dash three times this outdoor season:  the Phoenix Invitational (March 22, 2024) and Blue Bear Invitational (March 30, 2024) were the others.

Mount Olive's Dorian Tolbert was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Outfield Field Athlete of the Week.

The Barton outdoor track and field teams next compete in the 2024 Conference Carolinas Championships on Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27, at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
