NEW ORLEANS, La. – Barton College's
Chianti Ghee has earned 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field All-Southeast Region honors in the men's hammer throw by the USTFCCCA. The USTFCCCA is the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Ghee, a senior from Fayetteville, N.C., earned 2022 All-Conference Carolinas honors this past April with his second-place finish in the men's hammer throw (a season-best 182'0"). Ghee was also named the league's outdoor field athlete of the week once this season on Tuesday, March 15.
Ghee garnered all-region honors in outdoor track and field for the second straight season and was named the Barton College Men's Track and Field Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive year in 2021-22.
The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top three ranked relay team.
