ROCK HILL, S.C. – Three members of the Barton College football team earned 2024 All-South Atlantic Conference Piedmont Division honors: freshman running back
Jackson Parrish (Graham, N.C.) and senior linebackers
Matt Smith (Raleigh, N.C.) and
Dereck Barringer (Rockingham, N.C.).
Parrish led the Bulldogs in rushing yards (536) and rushing touchdowns (nine) while Barringer was the team's top tackler with 93 takedowns to go along with three pass break-ups and a quarterback sack. Barringer has 289 career tackles as a Bulldog.
Smith finished second on the team in tackles with 76 in addition to three quarterback sacks and earned all-league division honors for the second straight season. In his career, Smith has 315 takedowns, 8.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.

E'Lla Boykin (Mount Olive, N.C.) was named the 2024 SAC Defensive Freshman of the Year after totaling 53 tackles, a quarterback sack and interception this fall.
