Barton’s Jordan Terrell named a 2023 Football All-American by the Conference Commissioner’s Association

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Barton College's Jordan Terrell has been named to the 2023 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Football All-America Second Team.

Terrell, a junior running back from Ramseur, N.C., has been voted on to his third All-America Team this year:  the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and the Associated Press (AP) have been the others.

Terrell is currently ranked second in all of NCAA D-II in rushing yards (1,732) and rushing yards per game (157.5) and has scored 11 touchdowns on the ground this year.  Terrell rushed for a school and league-record 403 yards – 22 yards off the all-time Division II single-game record – and four scores in the Bulldogs' 48-14 victory over Erskine in the regular season finale on the road on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Terrell is a three-time All-Super Region II (2021-23) and two-time All-South Atlantic Conference (2022-23) First-Team selection who has rushed for 5,487 yards and 44 touchdowns in his Bulldogs' career.  Terrell also earned honorable mention All-American honors in 2022 and has led Barton (6-5, 4-5) to a pair of winning seasons over the past three years.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
