GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton College's
Alexis Lakey has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Swimmer of the Week, league officials announced earlier today.
Lakey, a senior from Silver Spring, Md., won both the women's 100-yard butterfly (1:01.50) and 200-yard butterfly (2:15.81) events this past Saturday in the Bulldogs' home-opening dual meet with Catawba at the Harrison Family YMCA in Rocky Mount, N.C.
Lees-McRae's Josh Wall has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Swimmer of the Week.
The Barton men's and women's swimming teams return to the pool to compete against William Peace and Pfeiffer on Sunday, October 23, at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, N.C.
