Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Barton men's basketball team (20-7, 13-4) hit the twenty-win threshold and pushed its winning streak to six games with a dominant 95-58 victory over King (14-13, 7-10) in Conference Carolinas action Saturday afternoon at Kline Gymnasium and the Student Center Complex.
Five players reached double figures for the Bulldogs, who raced to a 48-24 advantage at halftime and never looked back. Sophomore forward Isaiah Reddish (Durham, N.C.) led all scorers with 19 points while sophomore guard Jake Kakar (Boston, Mass.) finished with 18 points including five treys as Barton shot 57 percent (33-of-58) from the floor in the win. Reddish is the reigning league player of the week.
King was led by Jordan Young (Albany, Ga.) with a team-high 13 points but the Tornado shot just 34 percent (21-of-61) from the field.
Barton was also effective from the free throw line – connecting on 19-of-21 from the charity stripe – as the Bulldogs won 20 games in a season for the third time in four years. Senior forward Bobby Stenborg (Garner, N.C.) and junior forward Isaiah Buck-Lowman (Woodbridge, Va.) added 12 points each for the Bulldogs, who remained in second place in the league standings.
In the next round of the Conference Carolinas games on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m., Barton faces Limestone in Gaffney, S.C., in its regular season finale while King plays Southern Wesleyan in Central, S.C.
