WILSON, N.C. – Back-to-back victories over North Greenville University and Belmont Abbey College have both the Barton College men's and women's basketball teams rising in the league standings. The Bulldogs will look to continue their recent success a home matchup with Pfeiffer University on Tuesday at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. in Wilson Gym.

Lady Bulldogs vs Pfeiffer
With two consecutive victories over Conference Carolinas opponents, the Lady Bulldogs are looking to continue their climb in the league standings as the Falcons of Pfeiffer University come to the Dog House.
Pfeiffer, currently eighth in league play, averages 60.8 points per contest and has claimed victory in its last two contests over Converse College and Mount Olive last week. The Falcons are led by the league's second-best scorer in Meg Pritchard (17.8 points per game and 8.6 rebounds) and Carter Williams (13.5 points, 2.7 three-pointers per game), who looks to fill it up from long range.
Barton College has risen to fifth in the conference standings and will be looking to earn its third straight conference win after an 80-72 victory over Belmont Abbey last weekend.
The Lady Bulldogs shot a season-high 51.5 percent from the field and totaled a season-high 19 assists in the game as senior Brianna Thomas led the Lady Bulldogs with a season-high 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the floor, with nine rebounds and two blocks in 31 minutes of play.
Sophomore Shatisha Dukes recorded her second straight 18-point performance to go along with nine rebounds, while freshman Alexis Johnson was a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor and 2-for-2 from the free throw line for 12 points off of the bench. Lea rounded out the double-digit scorers for Barton with 11 points as Jackson dished out a game-high 10 assists with nine points.
Bulldogs vs Pfeiffer
The Barton men's basketball team has won five of its last six contests, including a convincing 84-63 win over Belmont Abbey College on Saturday. With the 21-point victory, Barton has claimed sole possession of third place in Conference Carolinas with its eyes set on a continued rise.
The Bulldogs now host Pfeiffer University in Wilson Gym as they look to claim a third straight league victory. The Falcons are led by Conference Carolinas' top scorer in AJ Clark, who averages 20.3 points per game on the season.
Pfeiffer averages 67.8 points per game on 43.7 percent shooting from the floor, while Barton boasts the leagues' top offense with 87.4 points per game and a league-leading 42.8 rebounds.
Junior guard Jake Veasley hopes to keep his recent hot streak going as the Marion, Ark. native has averaged 22.2 points per game over the team's last five contests, while freshman Danny Shand leads the team for the season with 17.9 points per game and 4.5 assists.
