WILSON, N.C.-Barton College will make a short commute over to the University of Mount Olive to play a Conference Carolinas doubleheader against Erskine College on Thursday beginning at 1 p.m.
Barton sports information will be providing Live Stats for both games at Nancy Chapman Cassell Field.

Barton College Softball
The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a sweep of Elizabeth City State University this past Saturday to move to 8-12 overall. Barton split its first two conference twin bills on the road against Belmont Abbey and Limestone to hold a 2-2 ledger in league skirmishes.
Freshman Megan Kelly is one of four players in the league batting over .400. Kelly is 25 of 61 (.410) and leads the Royal Blue and White with nine extra base hits, 10 RBI and five stolen bases.
Barton is batting .285 as a team (second best in the conference). Other top offensive leaders include Alex Baylis (.357), Kelsie Conner (.350), Kendra Kassonie (.326), Amber Weaver (.321), Crystal Britton (.317), Samantha Bass (.286), Betsy Braswell (.264) and Rachel Jordan (.264).
Jordan has scored a team-high 10 runs and Lindsey Sharpe (.250) has hit three home runs. Weaver continues her productive career with 10 runs, eight RBI and two home runs.
Sophomore Ashlyn Reagan (4-4) leads the Lady Bulldogs starting pitchers with four wins, 3.06 ERA, 50.1 innings and 29 strikeouts. Senior Autumn Pittman (3-1, 3.64 ERA) and sophomore Liz White (1-7, 4.74) are both coming off wins.
Barton and Erskine have played four consecutive one-run games over the last two seasons. The Flying Fleet won both contests last season by scores of 1-0 and 3-2 in Due West, S.C. The two squads split the two close tilts in 2012.
Erskine College Softball
The Flying Fleet will try and continue its success at Nancy Chapman Cassell Field after defeating host Mount Olive, 5-4 and 3-0, on Wednesday. Erskine has an identical 8-12 overall record as Barton and is also .500 in the league at 3-3.
Freshman outfielder Lydia Trexler (.328) has made an immediate impact for EC with a league-best seven home runs. Trexler also ranks second in the conference with 20 RBI.
Junior Kathryn Windham (.208) trails Trexler by just one home run having gone deep six times. Windham, who is the reigning Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, has 17 RBI.
Other top batters for the Fleet include Ashyln Hicks (.297, 9 R), Ericka McCarson (.250, 10 R, 4 2B, 7 SB), Taylor Fernandez (.261, 2 HR), Kaitlyn Kerley (.220, 7 RBI, 2 HR) and Christine Long (.214, 7 RBI, 2 HR).
Freshman Candace Fitch (2-3, 3.53 ERA) has taken over the majority of the pitching duties for Erskine having tossed nearly half of the team's innings. Kaylin White (2-2, 5.41) and Katherine Mulzer (0-1, 2 SV, 2.69 ERA) has split the other innings on the rubber.
