GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton senior outfielder
Makenzie Cyzick (Dayton, Va.) was named to the 2026 All-Conference Carolinas Softball First Team.
Cyzick currently leads the team in numerous offensive categories including batting average (.389), runs scored (38), hits (61), total bases (75), slugging percentage (.478), on-base percentage (.453) and stolen bases (48).
Cyzick is the school's all-time leader in games played (199), runs scored (163) and total at-bats (635) and ranks second on the program's career list in hits (223).
In addition, senior shortstop
MacKenzie Taylor (Mebane, N.C.) made the league's at-large team. Taylor ranks third on the team in batting average (.336) and hits (48) and second in runs scored (48).
Barton (22-28) is the No. 10 seed in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Softball Championship and will take on seventh-seeded Mount Olive (27-23) in a play-in contest on Thursday at 11:00 a.m., at Tyger River Park in Duncan, S.C.
