GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Barton men's golf team, playing against NCAA Division I competition, finished 12th overall at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic which concluded with the third and final round on Tuesday at the Ironwood Golf and Country Club. East Carolina University served as the host institution.
The Bulldogs carded an 890 (+26) on the par-72, 7,120-yard course while East Carolina won the 54-hole tournament with a seven-under 857 performance.
Barton was led by senior
Giovanni Bruno (Padova, ITALY), who tied for 13th overall with a three-under 213. Old Dominion's Joe MacPherson (Aberlady, SCOTLAND) and North Carolina Central's Iszac Bertagnole (Pinehurst, N.C.) both tied for first place at eight-under 208 to earn co-medalist honors.
Barton next competes at the Currahee Collegiate Invitational on Monday, October 5, and Tuesday, October 6, at the Currahee Golf Club in Toccoa, Ga.
