WILSON, N.C. - The Barton women's volleyball team (4-9, 2-4) swept its second consecutive Conference Carolnas opponent with a 3-0 victory over Erskine (1-10, 2-4) Saturday afternoon at Wilson Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs won over the Flying Fleet by scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-16.

Three players - graduate student middle blocker Madeline Hope (Mount Holly, N.C.), junior outside hitter Bailey McIntyre (Mooresville, N.C.) and freshman outside hitter Petra Mooney (Athens, Ga.) - all had seven kills for the Bulldogs.

Barton also hit .342 for the match and totaled 17 service aces as team in the victory.

Erskine, losers of 10 straight contests, was paced by Kimmy Stiltner (Lugoff, S.C.) with six kills but the Flying Fleet hit just .110 in the contest in the loss.

The Bulldogs hit the road to take on Ferrum in league action on Wednesday, September 23, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in Ferrum, Va.

Erskine, meanwhile, hosts Converse on Wednesday in a conference affair starting at 6:00 p.m.
