CENTRAL, S.C. - The Barton women's soccer team (4-1, 2-0) made it four victories in a row with a 1-0 shutout win over Southern Wesleyan (1-4, 0-2) Saturday afternoon at Childs Field in a Conference Carolinas contest.

Barton sophomore forward Ziara Brunson (Fayetteville, N.C.) scored her team-tying third goal of the season just 7:12 into the contest for the lone score.

In addition, the Bulldogs held a 19-17 advantage in shots taken while freshman goalkeeper Olivia Terranova (Fayetteville, N.C.) made eight saves to notch her second shutout this year.

Southern Wesleyan goalkeeper Ester Carabano (Valencia, SPAIN) suffered the loss despite allowing just one goal while stopping four shots.

Barton remains on the road to take on Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C., in league action on Wednesday evening beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Southern Wesleyan, meanwhile, takes on Erskine in Due West, S.C., on Wednesday in a conference contest at 2:00 p.m.
