NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (11-13) notched a 3-1 victory over Newberry (5-14) Thursday evening at Eleazer Arena.
The Bulldogs won over the Wolves by scores of 25-13, 28-30, 25-17 and 25-20 to complete the season sweep of Newberry.
Barton was led by sophomore outside hitter
Lawson Hink (Brookfield, Wis.) with a match-high 24 kills to go along with seven digs while junior middle blocker
Dominik Limberopoulos (Columbus, Ohio) added a dozen kills in the victory.
Newberry's Timothy Cox (Greenwood, S.C.) totaled a team-high 16 kills despite the setback.
Barton also hit .390 for the contest and hit nine service aces in the triumph.
Barton returns home to take on rival Mount Olive in a Conference Carolinas match on Wednesday night at Wilson Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Newberry, meanwhile, travels to Greeneville, Tenn., to take on Tusculum on Tuesday, April 7, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
