WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (7-7, 5-3) used a third-quarter explosion to take down Chowan (5-9, 2-6), 19-10, in the regular season finale and Conference Carolinas contest Friday night at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

With the victory, the Bulldogs claimed the fourth seed in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Championship and will host fifth-seeded and rival Mount Olive (5-8, 4-4) on Tuesday in the quarterfinal round beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Barton and Chowan were tied seven-all at halftime, before the Bulldogs outscored the Hawks by a 7-0 margin in the third period to take full control of the contest and push their winning streak to three games.

Barton held advantages in both shots taken (61-34) and ground balls (39-34) while graduate student goalkeeper Luke Woollard (Kent, ENGLAND) stopped 10 shots to earn the victory.
