GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Barton men's and women's cross country teams competed Friday morning at East Carolina University's Dill Family Foundation Invitational at Lake Kristi.
Both team took fifth place overall competing against mostly NCAA Division I competition while UNC Wilmington (men) and East Carolina (women) took home top team honors.
On the men's side, the Bulldogs were led by junior
Trey Lamm (Lucama, N.C.). Â Lamm ran the 8K course in 28:10 to finish 20th overall. Â East Carolina's Judah Lacroix (Kitty Hawk, N.C.) was the individual medalist after crossing the finish line in 25:20.
In the women's competition, sophomore
Lena Warren (Goldsboro, N.C.) was the top Barton runner after taking 24th overall over 6K in 26:06. Â East Carolina's Kiera McHugh (Brick, N.J.) was the top female runner after clocking a time of 22:30.
The Barton cross country teams next compete at the Cobras Invite on Friday, October 23, in Hartsville, S.C.
