WILSON, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team (10-5, 6-1) handed Barton (5-9, 3-4) a 17-7 loss Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Crusaders' Katelyn Miller (Savannah, Ga.) scored a match-high four goals while Addyson Greenspan (Delafield, Wisc.) and Trinity Cassidy (Snellville, Ga.) added three scores each as the visitors jumped out to a 6-0 lead early in the second quarter on their way to the win.
Barton was paced by freshman attacker
Reagan Fish (Lexington, Mass.) with four goals, tying for the game high, while freshman attacker
Jessica Olds (Media, Pa.) scored twice but the Bulldogs suffered their third straight loss.
The Crusaders held advantages in both shots taken (35-19) and ground balls (20-14) while Summer Eddinger (Fallston, Md.) made nine stops to earn the victory in goal.

Alexandra Ashton (Chantilly, Va.) made 10 saves but suffered the loss.
Barton remains at home to take on league-foe Ferrum on Thursday evening in the regular season finale starting at 6:00 p.m. Belmont Abbey, meanwhile, travels to Converse for a conference contest in Spartanburg, S.C., beginning at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday.
