WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (3-3, 1-0) opened the Conference Carolinas portion of its schedule with a dominant win over Lees-McRae (2-5, 0-3), 21-3, Saturday morning at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Nicole Malasky (Boonsboro, Md.) scored a match-high four goals while sophomore midfielder
Berghan Balparda (Melbourne, Fla.) totaled six points – three goals and three assists – as the Bulldogs jumped out to a 13-1 halftime lead and never looked back in the win.
Eleven total players found the back of the net for the Bulldogs while the home team held a decisive 42-9 edge in shots taken in the win.

Alexandra Ashton (Chantilly, Va.) totaled six saves in the victory.
For Lees-McRae, Madison Primeau (San Jose, Calif.) scored twice but goalkeeper Bailee Lizza (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) took the loss despite eight stops on the day.
Barton will wrap up a six-game home stand on Tuesday when the Bulldogs host Georgian Court beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Lees-McRae, meanwhile, travels to Cleveland, Ga., to take on Truett-McConnell on Tuesday, March 10, starting at 4:00 p.m.
