WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (3-4) saw its two-game winning streak snapped with a 10-4 setback to Georgian Court (2-3) Tuesday afternoon at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Lions jumped out to a 9-1 advantage after three quarters of play and stifled the Bulldogs' offense for most of the game in the triumph.
Georgian Court's Adrianna Mosca (Baiting Hollow, N.Y.) led all scorers with four goals and Michaela Scirrotto (West Deptford, N.J.) totaled four points – one goal and three assists – in the victory.

Berghan Balparda (Melbourne, Fla.) had a pair of goals to lead the home team despite the setback.
In goal, Georgian Court's Natalie Moradian (Freehold, N.J.) earned the victory after making 11 saves while freshman
Alexandra Ashton (Chantilly, Va.) totaled eight stops despite the loss.
Barton returns to Conference Carolinas play on Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Young Harris, Ga., to take on Young Harris beginning at Noon. Georgian Court travels to Mount Olive, N.C., to face Mount Olive on Friday afternoon beginning at 1:00 p.m.
