WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (2-3) rallied from three five goal-deficits to stun Bridgeport (0-1), 13-12, Thursday afternoon at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Berghan Balparda (Melbourne, Fla.) and freshman midfielder
Gabbi Forry (Southlake, Texas) both scored a team-high three goals as the Bulldogs rallied from second quarter deficits of 6-1, 7-2 and 8-3 to earn the win.

Nicole Malasky (Boonsboro, Md.) scored the last goals including the game-winner with 2:47 remaining in the contest to earn the win.
Bridgeport, playing its first game of the season, was paced by Payton Noack (Center Moriches, N.Y.) with a game-high four goals in the losing effort.
Barton held a slight edge in shots taken – 26-25 – while freshman goalkeeper
Alexandra Ashton (Chantilly, Va.) earned the win after making three saves on the afternoon. Bridgeport's Amber Militrano (West Haven, Conn.) suffered the loss in goal despite seven stops.
Barton opens Conference Carolinas play on Saturday at Noon when the Bulldogs host Lees-McRae beginning at Noon. Bridgeport, meanwhile, travels to Ferrum, Va., to take on Ferrum on Saturday, March 7, at Noon as well.
