WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (4-5, 2-1) celebrated Senior Day in style with a 15-2 victory over Southern Wesleyan (2-8, 1-3) Saturday morning at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Berghan Balparda (Melbourne, Fla.) led all scorers with five goals while freshman attacker
Reagan Fish (Lexington, Mass.) added three scores as the home team raced out to an 11-1 advantage at halftime and never looked back in the triumph.
Barton held decisive edges in both shots taken (45-8) and ground balls (44-25) and forced Southern Wesleyan into 34 turnovers in the triumph.
In goal, freshman
Alexandra Ashton (Chantilly, Va.) totaled three saves and earned the win for the Bulldogs while the Warriors' Ava Lombardi (Cary, N.C.) suffered the loss despite 17 stops on the afternoon.
Barton hits the road to take on rival Mount Olive in a league match on Wednesday, March 25, starting at 5:00 p.m., in Mount Olive, N.C.
Meanwhile, Southern Wesleyan hosts Emmanuel on Wednesday in a conference contest beginning at 5:00 p.m., as well.
